Last week, Texas Republican Senator and generally-disliked-guy-who-now-sports-a-beard Ted Cruz killed a ceremonial resolution honoring Ruth Bader Ginsburg because he objected to language his Democratic counterparts added that included her dying wish that a successor not be chosen until after the presidential inauguration early next year.

Not long afterward, Cruz accused Democrats of engaging in "political theater" by opposing the rushed confirmation of Trump's nominee, the deeply conservative Amy Coney Barrett. Klobuchar let him have it.

“No, Senator Cruz, this isn’t ‘theater,’” she said. “This is about people’s lives — their health care, their rights, and their future.”
She was just getting warmed up, wrote Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, a Republican Never Trumper whose column was headlined "Distinguished Pol of the Week."
Cruz, by the way, opposed confirmation hearings for Obama nominee Merrick Garland in 2016, citing the upcoming election -- 237 days away.
Now, as Klobuchar points out, Americans all over the country are already voting, and the election is a mere 37 days away.
